About Textron

Textron, Inc. is a United States based conglomerate, and their operations center around aerospace, automotive, and defense industries with a diverse set of products and services. Textron was first formed in 1923 as a textile company, originally being named the Special Yarns Corporation. During World War II, the company had its first experience in producing defense products when they manufactured parachutes for the war effort.
